Lipwalk provides embeddable comments, reactions, star ratings, moderation tooling, image attachments, and related analytics ("the Service") that you add to websites you own or operate. Lipwalk runs the infrastructure; you decide how your sites use it. These terms cover both the account holder (the site owner) and the readers who post through the embedded widgets.
You are responsible for your account credentials, for the people you add as moderators or admins, and for the configuration choices you make (for example enabling anonymous commenting, image uploads, or session replay on your sites). Keep your contact email current: it is how Lipwalk reaches you about billing, quota, and policy changes.
Comments, ratings, reactions, and any images posted through the widget belong to the people who wrote or uploaded them; configuration and site data belong to you. You grant Lipwalk the limited license needed to host, display, moderate, and back up that content, and nothing more. Lipwalk never sells it, never trains models for third parties on it, and never uses it for advertising. You can export your sites' data, and your readers can export and delete their own.
The comments, ratings, reactions, and images that your readers post appear on your sites, under your editorial control. You are the publisher of that content and are responsible for moderating it and for resolving disputes about it directly with the people who posted it. Lipwalk gives you the tools to do this (moderation queues, blocking, deletion, and image removal), but Lipwalk is the processor that runs the infrastructure, not the publisher of what your readers say. You agree to operate your sites in compliance with the laws that apply to you and to act on valid complaints about content on your sites without undue delay.
Do not use the Service to host content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or distributes malware. Do not probe, overload, or circumvent the Service's security or rate limits, and do not resell access without an agreement with Lipwalk. "Unmetered" reads are subject to a fair-use policy: automated scraping, deliberate cache-busting, or traffic that is not genuine reader activity may be rate-limited or charged. Lipwalk moderates abuse of the platform itself and removes content it is legally required to remove; editorial decisions about lawful speech on your site are yours, made with the moderation tools.
To protect every site on the network, Lipwalk operates fleet-wide abuse prevention: it may rate-limit, challenge, or block submissions based on abuse signals correlated across the sites that use Lipwalk, using the irreversible hashed identifiers described in the Privacy Policy. This targets spam and coordinated abuse; ordinary commenters are unaffected.
Image attachments are off by default and are something you turn on per site. When you enable them, images your readers upload are your responsibility, the same as any other content on your sites (section 4). You can disable uploads at any time and can remove any individual image from a comment in the admin. Every uploaded image is re-encoded to strip metadata and is screened for known child sexual abuse material before it is served; confirmed matches are blocked and reported as the law requires. That screening is a safety floor, not a substitute for your own moderation.
If you believe content posted through Lipwalk infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] identifying the work, the location of the material, your contact details, and a good-faith statement. Because your readers' content lives on your sites under your control, the fastest route is usually to ask the site owner to remove it; Lipwalk will also act on valid notices for content it hosts and will, where appropriate, restrict access or terminate accounts of repeat infringers. Knowingly false notices carry legal penalties.
Paid plans are billed in US dollars through Stripe, monthly or annually (annual gets two months free). Usage is metered in credits and per-plan allowances as published on the pricing page; when a billing period's comment credits run out, new comments pause until you top up, raise your plan, or the period resets (existing content keeps being served, and reads are never paused). Promotional codes apply as stated when redeemed. Prices for your current term do not change mid-term; future-term changes come with notice.
You can cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the paid period. After cancellation you can export your data for 30 days, after which Lipwalk may delete it. Lipwalk can suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms, with notice unless the violation is causing active harm or is legally required to be acted on immediately.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lipwalk and the people who operate it from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of the content posted through your sites, your use of the Service, or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right. Lipwalk will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defense of it, provided you do not settle in a way that admits fault on Lipwalk's behalf without its consent.
Lipwalk is provided on a best-effort basis, "as is" and "as available." Lipwalk works hard to keep the Service running and your data safe, but does not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and may change or discontinue features. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lipwalk disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lipwalk's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.
If these terms change materially, Lipwalk will email account owners before the change takes effect. Questions: [email protected].
